Internationally recognised multi-instrumentalist Darragh Ó Héiligh is particularly renowned as an Uilleann Piper. His musical arrangements are prominent on many albums but most recently Brú by Dabilla and Take Flight by Tradify. Two groups he is very proud to be part of.

Music at the Gate

With the resolve to bring more traditional Irish music to Drogheda and with the potential provided by the Fleadh coming to the town in 2018 and 2019, Darragh saw an opportunity to use the iconic Laurence’s gate to give musicians an open and friendly environment to build a new community and at the same time increase the accessibility of traditional Irish music to people of all ages in Drogheda.

Lovers of traditional Irish music want the freedom to turn on the radio at any time of the day or night and hear the best tunes and songs from the top bands and artists in the genre. Darragh has independently provided this service free of charge to tens of thousands of people every week across 48 countries. Ceol FM only plays the highest quality traditional Irish and folk music.
